Position Title: HSE Officer
Employment Type: 10 months contract (extendable depending on performance)
Salary: up to 6,500 AED depending on experience and qualifications plus accommodation and transportation
Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Client:
The hiring company is an international marine contractor with 150 years of existence in the market focusing on dredging, land infrastructure, and offshore wind and oil & gas infrastructure projects

Job Role:
Implementing the QHSE policy and the department’s Annual Plan as an interpretation of and in line with company’s strategy and corporate business plan, the aim being to meet the department’s objectives
Optimizing the company’s Management System in accordance with the QHSE Annual Plan and in line with international legislation in order to be able to control and minimize the company’s risks in the area of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
Checking and reporting on compliance with the procedures included in the Management System according to existing guidelines, in order to be able to advise the management of projects and ships on potential improvements
Engaging in continuous internal QHSE PR in line with the existing QHSE policy in order to raise safety awareness throughout the organization
Preparing risk assessments for projects in order to minimize QHSE risks
Completing the QHSE-related parts of prequalification
Registering accidents and the related follow-up
Supervising accident investigations in accordance with the stipulated procedure in order to establish where improvements are needed and to minimize accidents in the future
