Job description / Role

– Manage transactions relating to the financing, sale and purchase of vessels and support management in the negotiation of major contracts, acquisitions etc.
– Advise and support the Management and Directors on M&A opportunities, investments, and company structure.
– Manage the financial forecasting, budget, cash control and financial reporting for the company.
– Organize management efficiently with all financial systems and processes in the company.
– Advise and support the management team on all financial matters affecting the business.
– Train and lead a highly professional finance team to manage day to day operations.
– Implement operational best practices.
– Report financial results to the board of directors.
– Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile.]

– Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
– Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
– Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
– Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
– Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
– Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors.
– Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
