dnata Catering, a division of dnata and part of Emirates Group, is a leading airline catering provider operating worldwide across four continents and 12 countries. The Division looks to recruit a Finance Manager that will act as global dnata Catering Head of financial reporting and have a broad spectrum of responsibilities covering accounting, consolidation & reporting, audit, statutory financial statements, tax, treasury management, performance review and corporate governance. The position is based in the Dubai headquarter and will have oversight of all international subsidiaries, in addition to two UK-based Holding companies and the Dubai HQ cost centre. This is a leadership role with high exposure and requires strong stakeholder management skills with both internal and external parties. As a finance professional, you will directly report the Division CFO and will have input and subsequent responsibility for supporting our “one dnata” global finance strategy across our international network.
The ideal candidate is a finance professional with strong communication skills and a significant amount of work experience in a global organisation, preferably with exposure across different geographies and industries. The position is accountable for setting both long term and short term financial targets and driving performance in line with these goals.
Accountabilities:
Catering Division Accounting, Control, Tax, Consolidation and Statutory Reporting
- Responsible for directing all financial reporting activities of the Division entities.
- Review of management accounts submission – Profit & Loss, Balance sheet and Cash Flow Statements – of all subsidiaries
- Lead complex accounting assessments – acquisitions, impairment testing, IFRS standards implementation, etc.
- Oversee all accounting procedures and systems used by the subsidiaries, ensuring their compliance to Group policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Interact with the management team to provide consultative support for business improvement initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations.
- Analysis of the Group performance and KPI compared to budget and previous year
- Prepare management and statutory consolidated accounts (IFRS complaint) for the Division
- Co-ordinate work with the auditors in relation to audit of all subsidiaries worldwide
- Review the audited statutory accounts of each subsidiary and co-ordinate sign-off approval by the Group
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial information to the Group through Cognos Controller.
- Establish and maintain close relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies
UK-based Holding companies Accounting, Control, Tax and Statutory Reporting
- Month end processing, GL journals, review monthly reconciliations of GL accounts for two UK-based Holding companies
- Overview of year-end tax return for UK based companies liaising with external advisor
- Preparation of company audited statutory accounts for two UK-based Holding companies
- Establish and maintain close relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies
- Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) for the UK-based Holding companies
Catering Division Treasury and Risk Management
- Oversee bank reconciliation; provide cash flow forecasts/analysis for management
- Control of Group cash balances and associated procedures, managing the international Multicurrency Notional Pooling system in liaison with the Group Treasury function
- Liaise with banks on mandates, KYC requests and loan requirements compliance
- Involved in finance risks management projects led by Group internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with both the internal and external legislative and regulatory environments

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
We are seeking a competent and seasoned finance professional with strong influencing skills and a proven ability to deal with all levels within a global business, combined with a sound knowledge of effective best practices. You will have the energy and the passion to understand the business needs, to get close to the business and initiate and drive change aligned to dnata’s strategy.
- Qualified accountant – ACCA, ACA , CPA, CA, or ICAEW – preferably a Management Accountant experience in a similar capacity at a multinational company.
- 6-8 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a multinational company. Big 4 experience is a plus.
- Solid experience with financial reporting through a prior audit, technical accounting, or consolidation role.
- Practical knowledge of IFRS
- ERP system experience
