Job description / Role
Onshore
• Develop and maintain various vessel documentations such as construction manual and lifting manual
• Participate in project HAZID’s, operability reviews and readiness review
• Assist the project in the planning and coordination of testing/inspection of equipment and fabricated items
• Liaise with Installation Engineers onshore on operational matters during preparatory phase, mobilization and during installation phase
• Provide input and feedback to improve internal standards, working methods and guidelines
• Review project requirements and provide input for tenders and projects
• Develop project specific installation procedures
• Maintain and expand technical and practical knowledge offshore pipelines and construction works
Offshore
• Assist the Offshore Construction Manager to ensure smooth job preparation and field operations
• Assist in the solving of technical problems
• Liaise with all Subcontractors ensuring that the preparation and execution of the work is carried out as per the Project Installation Manuals
• Ensure equipment allocated for the job is suitable for the intended purpose
• Ensure materials and equipment ordered is delivered where required in a timely manner
• Perform calculation to ensure the pipeline initiation and laydown location are in the target box
• Monitor the work progress and ensure that execution is as per procedures, schedule and sequence
• Preparation and issue reports and documentation for enclosing within the final As Built package
• Technical focal point during offshore installation activities to support Offshore Construction Manager and Barge Master
• Ensure company safety and quality procedures are followed at all times during the planning and execution of the work
• Resolving technical problem that arise during offshore installation
• Maintain records of operational performance of vessel and equipment
• Prepare/Participate in the completion of Lessons Learned sessions
