Job Description

§ Schedules staff duties according to forecasts and special arrangements

§ Promotes up selling at all levels and by personal efforts through guest contacts.

§ Responsible in settling House Accounts, Room Charges, Officers Checks, Cash and Credit Card Payments, and City Ledgers in Micros. Responsible as well in the remittance of Cash and Cash Floats at the end of each shift

§ Represents the restaurant at scheduled F&B meetings in the absence of the F&B Manager or Operations Manager as well as daily briefings

§ Maintains employees’ attendance records and change of status

§ Checks on the appearance of staff as to proper uniforms and personal hygiene

§ Ensures a high standard of sanitation and hygiene in the restaurant.

Recommends to the F&B Manager or Operations Manager, changes in methods or equipment to improve service

§ Ensures that the operating equipment and general supplies for the restaurant are maintained

§ Establishes par stocks and initiates requisitions for additional supplies if necessary

§ Coordinates with Kitchen and Bar with regard to menus, wines, buffet, out-of-stock items and other significant details that are important to the outlet

§ Handles all guest comments and complaints, advises F&B Manager or Operations Manager on the same

§ Should be confident in answering the phone according to agreed standards, being fully aware of booking procedures, including parties and arrangements.

§ Ensures that all guests are welcomed, seated and thanked on departure.

§ Guest Satisfaction must always be checked and any problems encountered must be solved to the best standard and relayed to F&B Manager or Operations Manager.

  • Attends necessary training sessions whether within or outside of normal scheduled working hours

§ Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting self in work in order not to expose self or others to risk

§ Take reasonable care when storing, handling, and using chemicals and dangerous substances, lifting and carrying, and using or cleaning dangerous work equipment, including machines

  • Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department

§ Performs other duties as it may be required by Concern Manager.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)


  • F&B Supervisor: 3 years (Preferred)
