Job Description:
The position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
- In addition to the normal background check, a credit check screening will be completed in compliance with CHW policy.
- Duties include handling credit card payments according to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
- Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
- Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician Registration required (California State Board of Pharmacy).
- Three (3) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Able to perform basic mathematical and algebraic calculations
- Working knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to prepare sterile IV products.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program required.
- Recent (within two years) prior experience (minimum 6 months) in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture.
- Familiar with computers.
