Job Description:
Leadership role working as the Head of Merchandise within Politix, working closely with the MD and senior leadership team in defining the vision, strategy and business plan to drive sales and market share growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly forecast reviews by channel, by division ensuring productivity initiatives to grow sales and BGP, improve stock efficiency and drive profitability in channels and categories
- Set and execute merchandise plans across the business
- Develop and manage the financial performance of the Politix business by category according to budget and forecast measured by sales, BGP, markdowns and stock management
- Influence product strategy in conjunction with the MD and by working closely with the Design team to deliver high quality, on brand product across ranges
- Lead a team of 4 within planning to shape and execute the merchandise strategy
- Work with Group strategy and merchandise to ensure group wide alignment
- Work with the MD and senior leadership team in defining the brand strategy and business plan
- Work closely, in collaboration with the Retail, VM and marketing teams to ensure conversion of buying strategy
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, coach and inspire those around you
- High organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and pivot if necessary
- Problem solving abilities, with a long term view in terms of how to drive the business forward
- High attention to detail
- A strategic mind with the ability to operate at a senior level
- Previous experience in leading a merchandise planning team or function for a retail or fashion business
- Excellent stakeholder management experience as well as a high level of communication
