Position Description:

Responsible for all Agreements and contractual documents in addition to management and supervision of Tendering section /Projects Control section /Procurement & Stores section/vehicles and Plant section.

Responsible for carrying out various functions of commercial and negotiation, and risk management, by providing practical guidance, and legal and commercial planning aspects to Management.

Major Duties & Responsibilities: 

  1.   Support the Company Commercial Department and coordinate with the Division Directors to ensure that all commercial sections meet the Division’s activities’ requirements.
  2.  Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain relationships with Clients, Contractors, Suppliers, and Sub Contractors.
  3. . Set up the KPIs for the Department staff, Present the Department reports & ensure compliance with the company procedures, reporting, and control systems.
  4. Manage and develop all critical positions in the team to ensure they have the required knowledge, skills, and competencies and are motivated to meet the business challenges.
  5. Prepare and review all contractual documents (Agreements and Indentures), as required, to ensure Company interests are protected and Company risks are identified & mitigated.    Ensure the bid documents are of consistently high standards, complying with all commercial and technical requirements.
  6. Ensure projects performance is well monitored, Project Final Account, Variations and Claims are well prepared, and issue regular reports as required.
  7.  Ensure cost effectively purchase of the materials, while maintaining quality, to meet the required targets of the Company within the authorized budget.

Educational Qualification & Behavioural Competencies:

  1. Recognized degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying preferably with a Recognised Professional Qualification and membership.
  2. At least 10 years experience in a Commercial Manager/Director role and 20 years overall experience preferably in Infrastructure projects.
  3. Good Leadership and Management Skills.
  4. Hands-on experience in reporting.
  5. Outstanding communication & presentation skills.
  6.  Excellent in time management & deadlines.
  7. Previous experience in the Middle East is preferred.
