New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) reports locally to the NYUAD Chief Administrative Business Officer (CABO) as well as NYU’s Vice President for Human Resources (VPHR). The CHRO directs the university’s Human Resources department and is responsible for:
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing university-wide employee policies and practices
  • Providing direction, guidance, and implementation support to the campus
  • Creating and delivering the strategic vision of the HR department
  • Resolving HR issues to ensure appropriate resolution
  • Establishing and monitoring service metrics and adjusting HR processes, procedures, and staffing

Qualifications:


Required Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education:
  • Master’s in Human Resources or a related discipline

Required Experience:
  • 10 years or more senior-level HR management experience within a large academic, government organization, or non-profit entity

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience in HR administration in the Middle East
  • Arabic or other regional language skills
