Job Purpose
This position is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company and for achieving maximum return on invested capital. He must coordinate the efforts of the Direct reports and work with them to develop current and long-range objectives, policies, and procedures, whilst enhancing the brand image aligned with the corporate vision, mission and values. To optimize on the return on investment and maximize internal rate of return.

Asset Management – The CEO fulfills the role of being a well-rounded Asset Manager with Mall Management Experience to lead and guide the implementation of the individual assets (The company and other properties) strategic direction in all aspects and not limited to Leasing, Cash Collection, FM, CAPEX Projects, Tenant Disputes, Strategic Tenant Negotiations. He is a seasoned Property Manager with Operational and New Developments Experience.

New Business Development – The CEO fulfills the role of new opportunities assessment. He performs sites evaluations, Feasibilities and Finance assessment, new development positioning in respect of competitors offering, Oversees Full Development Cycle until Asset delivery into Property Management. He has experience in Acquisitions and Disposals, Due Diligence processes required for JV, SPV, SPAC’s opportunities amongst others.

Board of Directors and other Key Stakeholder Management – The CEO is the points-man in managing and balancing the views and needs of the Shareholders and the Board of Directors. He is comfortable in the boardroom to layout strategy and make recommendations to the Board in line with the Strategic Direction of the company. He is a well-rounded communicator, able to simplify messages with clear and logical presentations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities

1. Direct the Leadership Team in the formulation and implementation of overall business strategies and plans which enable the achievement of company’s vision, mission and corporate objectives.

2. Direct the development and oversee the implementation of all corporate policies, systems, standards and procedures covering all functions of the company so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled to ensure the company can operate efficiently and effectively.

3. Direct the development of long-term business plans and the implementation of the business plan through well managed projects from start-up to completion and review the estimated required capital and operating costs, over the full life cycle of the projects.

4. Direct the preparation of annual operational plans to accomplish the structured delivery of the long-term business plans.

5. Direct the design of an optimum organization structure for the Company in line with the corporate strategy so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner.

6. Installation of sound corporate governance mechanisms which support the business operations and growth.

Key Activities

1. Ensure the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive set of systems, policies, standards and procedures that ensures the company can operate efficiently and effectively whilst remaining compliant with legislation.

2. Implementation of all projects within approved project parameters like cost budgets, time deadlines, and quality targets.

3. Provide leadership and direction so that the appropriate caliber of Human Resources is attracted, motivated, engaged, developed and retained to derive the highest possible productivity from this critical resource to meet the company’s business objectives.

4. Develop divisional and individual objectives, training and development plans in place within the timescales of the company performance management process.

5. Provide professional direction, advice, and support to all levels of the business on the full range of Business issues to ensure that the Operational capability of the business is optimized.

6. Evaluate reports from direct reports and organize meetings to set and implement respective divisional strategies as per business requirements.
