Job description / Role

• Mix and cook candy ingredients by following, modifying, or formulating recipes to produce a product of specified flavor, texture, and color
• Examine and taste the product to evaluate color, texture, and flavor
• Add ingredients or modifies cooking and forming operations as needed
• May be designated according to the type of candy produced as a caramel-candy maker; coconut-candy maker; fudge-candy maker; hard-candy maker; nougat-candy maker; taffy-candy maker
• Set up and operate equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of candies
