Brief Description
Job Purpose
Overall Accountability for the management of a geographical territory of ENOC/ EPPCO Automotive Services outlets. Accountable to achieve sales and cost targets as part of the Overall department budget, reports to the Operations Manager Automotive Services and is also responsible within the territory for achieving corporate standards and objectives in respect to customer services, staff management, Integrated Management System Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001) implementation and brand standards.
Detailed Description
Principal Accountabilities
1. Financial Accountability
a. Directly responsible for achieving sales revenue, gross contribution and operating cost within his area.
b. Assists the Operations Manager in developing and planning the revenue, gross contribution and operating costs for his territory.
c. Together with the Site-in –Charge, assessing and reviewing actual site performance, making recommendations and agreeing future budget targets.
d. Assists the Operations Manager in setting objectives by Automotive Services Product / Category by Site in order to maximize and initiate regular in site and territory reviews.
e. Minimizing stock loss in line with budgeted targets and act promptly on any shortfalls/variances within his territory
2. Staff Management
a. Ensure implementation of manpower plan within his territory.
b. Manages staff movement and assignment within his territory based on business needs and requirements.
c. Identifying areas for individual and team training and development. Co-presenting with trainers on assigned training programs and courses.
d. Ensure Staff understanding of the training objectives by audit at the workplace
e. Professionally dealing with any required disciplinary issues by conducting necessary investigation and reports to Automotive Services Management for further actions as per DOA.
f. Conduct staff performance appraisals in line with set guidelines.
g. Ensure that staff attendance, annual leave, sick leave and emergency leave is monitored and managed in line individual site/s requirement.
h. Draft an annual leave plan for site staff & Site In Charge.
i. Coordinate with the department administration staff and HRD to ensure that all site staff is issued with ID cards, valid visas and health and ATM cards in line with the legal requirements on the country and the company, passport collection and submission, etc.
2. Site Management
a. Regular timely visits to all assigned Automotive Services sites assessing and motivating staff to achieve standards of customer service, site cleanliness and administration with the Site-in- Charge.
b. Regularly monitors Integrated Management System compliance of the sites and provides recommendation to the Operations Manager on updating and improving the Integrated Management System.
c. Manage site/s rechargeable material and ensure that all supplies are issued in line with company standards.
d. Manage unplanned outside purchases in order to manage gross profit.
e. Monitors the need to transfer assets in his territory, i.e. lifters, tire changers, tire balancers.
f. Manage the facility and equipment operations to maximize cost savings through preventative maintenance program, effective housekeeping program.
g. Allotting float cash by site/s volume and requirement. Review and control the petty cash expenses at the site prior to Operations Manager approval.
3. Environment, Health & Safety
a. Conducting Assessment & Inspections of Sites to ensure all EHS policies and guidelines are adhered to.
a. Ensures timely reporting of incidents by staff within assigned territory to the ENOC Emergency hotline.
b. Assist EHS in their related investigations and recommend to the Operations Manager any opportunity for improvements in EHS activities.
2. Marketing & Promotional Activities
a. Ensuring compliance with promotional calendar guidelines in his territory as directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager and supported by the Operations Manager.
b. Regularly reporting the activities of competitors in the geographical area of responsibility.
c. Responsible for the implementation of the merchandise plan, promotional displays and customer services for automotive services customer offer within his territory, and promptly report to Sales & Marketing Manager any inconsistencies in product; presentation; promotion etc. Keep Operations Manager informed
3. Communication
a. Responsible to resolve all customer complaints to the mutual satisfaction of both parties as per business KPI, and initiates any technical investigation on customer complaints supported by the Technical Manager.
b. Manage any relevant external and internal communication as per business requirement.
Minimum Requirements
- College Degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication with English, Other languages – Arabic is an added advantage
- Proven management and interpersonal ability (Hands on retail experience would be an advantage)
- 3 years in working in the automotive repair industry or a related field. And having two years of that in a supervisory role.
- Good Knowledge PC skills.
- UAE driver’s license.
