Primary purpose of job

Manage and lead the activities of a large centralized Transactions, Accounting of Regulated Hydrocarbon products of

Producing Entities across Qatar (c. $26bn) including managing budgeted profitability for the entity, financial governance,

preparation of Financial Statements and providing financial inputs for Board pack, netback accounting and all external and

internal audits.

Trading – Oversee the calculation of daily economic P&L for LNG cargo and derivative trading, as well as all invoicing and

settlement activities associated with it, supporting the company’s growth toward its revenue targets.

Accountable for all statutory accounting and liaising with external auditors. Manage and lead the accrual, invoicing and

settlement of $1bn-$2bn/year of physical LNG transactions and charges, as well as the valuation and settlement of $100m+

of commodity derivative swaps and futures. Voting member of the Trading credit working group.

3. Muntajat, Trade Finance & Netback – Manage the timely and accurate processing of circa 10,000 letters of credit

annually, ensuring bank securities offered are competitively secured and customer sales timelines are met as well as the

profit netback process required under Qatar law for this operation. Voting member of the Muntajat credit working group.

Manage the activities of a Revenue Transactions ($22bn), Accounting, collection & function over the hydrocarbon value

chain covering QP’s own products, production sharing agreements (EPSA/DPSA), MOF Current Account, international

operating entities under QP group in the areas covering purchases, sales & resale revenues and stock accounting.

Experience & Skills

  • Masters in Finance, Commerce, Business, Accounting and/or globally accepted professional qualifications such as

Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant etc.
