Assistant Accountant – Al Ain

Executes defined processes and procedures to achieve operational targets or service standards key to business delivery – tasked with continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivers high quality on standard accounting tasks in a timely fashion based on directions from the manager. Demonstrates a profound theoretical understanding of accounting models and tools combined with a strong in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Contributes to various standard tasks that are well described.
  • Delivers efficiently on accounting tasks in a timely fashion based on direction from the business
  • Runs standard ERP reports and ability to drill into details to find underlying reasons and explanations in data sources.
  • Documents procedures internally in the accounting entity.
  • Ensures that policies and accounting guidelines are followed and that sound judgement on data quality is applied consistently.
  • Prepares documentation, reporting and analyses for Audit.
  • Manages small ad hoc accounting projects with low complexity with a limited number of stake-holders.

Educational background/Experience

  • Relevant academic background confirmed with degree, supported by additional diplomas/ certificates;
  • approximately 3 years of experience, including at least two years in finance or accounting;
  • Experience from a shared services organisation or a major company is a prerequisite.
  • Fluency in English, other language as advantage
