Architectural Draftsman

Job description / Role

• Handle different designing and drafting assignments from multiple projects all at the same time under minimal supervision.
• Create technical drawings and models from sketches, verbal and written specifications obtained from Project Engineers.
• Produce, prepare and revise 2D AutoCAD Shop Drawings and when necessary develop its corresponding 3D models.
• Prepare graphical documentation using CAD, Photoshop and other applicable software.
• Work with Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and documentation.
• Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisors for drawings and additional information required during construction.
• Review drawings for completeness and precision.
• Analyse building specifications and prepare Bill of Quantities.
• Organize, update and maintain an electronic library of all projects (incl. drafting logs, drawings, revisions etc.)
